The convention circuit is its own ecosystem — a place where spectacle substitutes for substance, where vendor credibility is measured in booth square footage, and where the Business Analyst Boar eats a sad sandwich from the convention center while watching his findings get rebranded by a flock of Parrots.

Tradeshows: The Corporate Circus introduces Booth Space as a new resource, a dedicated convention floor environment, and cards that can only be summoned in that environment. Bigger booth. More impressive cards. Completely unclear ROI.

The Platform and Data Lion Tamer finds her true home here — in the place where the circus never stopped being a circus, it just got a badge and a lanyard.

New Resource Mechanic

Booth Space

A resource representing literal square footage on the convention floor. More Booth Space enables more impressive Tradeshow cards. Booth Space costs real Bandwidth to acquire. ROI is always unclear.

Players begin with 0 Booth Space. It must be purchased during Main Phase using the Convention Floor field spell.

1 Booth Space = 200 Bandwidth
Maximum Booth Space: 20
Unused Booth Space at end of duel: Counts for nothing.

Booth Babe Basilisk

Reptile / Effect ATK 1800 / DEF 1800

Cannot be attacked by monsters with fewer certifications than their controller claims to have. Once per turn: Target one opponent — they cannot evaluate product claims until your next turn. When this card is on the field: All Tool Card costs are hidden from opponents.

Field Spell

When activated: All players lose 400 Bandwidth immediately. Each turn during Standby Phase: Each player must decide whether to eat or preserve their Bandwidth. Either way, lose 200 Bandwidth. Monsters with ATK over 2500 refuse to touch it. Cannot be replaced by a better option within 4 blocks.

"The Caesar salad is $24. The lettuce has given up."

Field Spell — Replaces Lunch

When activated: All players gain 600 Displayed Bandwidth. Actual Bandwidth unchanged. Each round here: Lose 300 Actual Bandwidth. Displayed increases by 200. All deals made while active are binding but poorly documented. Partnerships formed here require a follow-up email that will never be sent.

"It's basically water. But it's $20 and you're going to have three."

All Access Badge of Unearned Privilege

Equip Spell / Magical Item Thought Leader Tier™

Cannot be obtained through normal means. Grants access to the VIP Lounge, Speaker Green Room, and a private dinner never announced publicly. Comes with: Rolling Carry-On of Infinite Decks (47 versions of the same presentation), Branded Tumbler of Perpetual Hydration (+200 Displayed Bandwidth/turn), Wireless Clicker of Unearned Confidence (advance someone else's slides once per turn), Business Card That Is Actually a QR Code (adds opponent to newsletter they did not request). Equipped monster's ATK is replaced by their LinkedIn follower count.

"He's a keynote. He doesn't do breakout sessions."

Badge Lanyard of Dubious Authority

Equip Spell / Magical Item

Equipped monster gains access to all sessions, keynotes, and restricted areas — in theory. Once per turn: Flip a coin. Heads: Access granted. Tails: Badge reader makes a sound. Nobody knows what the sound means. Equipped monster cannot be questioned about credentials while moving with purpose. When equipped monster stops moving: All authority immediately suspended pending verification.

"It scanned yesterday."

Furniture / Continuous Trap ATK 0 / DEF 0

Cannot be destroyed because it was never really there. Reduces any monster's DEF by 200 per turn spent sitting. When a player attempts to find seating during Meeting Phase: Reveal this card. That player stands for the remainder of the duel.

Winged Beast / Effect ATK 1600 / DEF 2000

Once per turn: Steal one counter from any card on the field and add it to this card. Cannot attack directly but can redirect attacks to cards with more counters than it has. When this card has 5+ counters: Gains the title of Senior Middle Manager Magpie. Effects remain identical. Once per duel: Forward an effect to another player without activating it yourself.

Vendor Evangelist Hydra

Hydra / Effect ATK 2800 / DEF 2400

Gains one additional attack per turn for each buzzword spoken (max 3). Once per turn: Shuffle one Agile Ritual from your deck into your opponent's deck. On the convention floor: Gains Booth Space equal to buzzwords spoken this turn.

Principal Consultant Parrot

Winged Beast / Effect ATK 1400 / DEF 3100

Special Summon condition: PowerPoint Lich must have 8+ Slide Counters. When summoned: Summon 2 additional copies. Each generates a 50-slide presentation — slides 1–25 and 26–50 contain the same information formatted differently. Once per turn: Copy the last Beast-type effect. That Beast does not draw. Cannot be removed while any player has an unread presentation in their graveyard.

"I've taken the liberty of putting together a few thoughts."

Convention Floor Environments

Where the Action (Doesn't) Happen

The Main Floor

The primary convention environment. Enables Booth Space purchases. Tradeshow cards may only be summoned here. Noise level prevents Documentation Checks from being heard clearly — all verification effects require one additional turn to resolve.

The VIP Lounge

Accessible only to holders of the All Access Badge of Unearned Privilege. All Bandwidth costs reduced by 30%. All deals made here are assumed to have happened even without documentation. Cannot be entered by any card with ATK below 2000.

The Keynote Hall

During the Keynote Hall environment, all players must face forward. The active Thought Leader Tier™ card's effects are doubled. All other cards' effects are halved. Duration: exactly as long as it needs to be, which is longer than scheduled.

The Breakout Room

Twelve chairs. Forty registrants. When this environment activates, randomly select 28 players who cannot participate this turn. The remaining twelve draw one card. Somehow this is considered a success.

Lion Tamer

She was always a Tradeshow card. The base set was just where she was training. The Corporate Circus is her natural habitat — the convention floor where platform knowledge is currency, certifications are ammunition, and the only thing standing between functional architecture and a vendor-led disaster is one person with a laptop and thirty-seven credentials.

Thought Leader Tier™. Exclusively available in the Tradeshows: The Corporate Circus special edition. Not obtainable in the base set. She earned it.

Platform and Data Lion Tamer

Beast-Tamer / Effect ATK 2300 / DEF 2000

Once per turn: Banish one Certification card from your graveyard; negate an opponent's effect unless they can provide verifiable documentation. On the convention floor: This card cannot be negated by any card that lacks documented proof of concept. When facing Legacy System Minotaur: May attempt to read source code once per duel — flip a coin. Heads: gain 500 ATK. Tails: lose 800 Bandwidth and skip next turn.
