Meetings:
The Blathering

A competitive card game of strategic misalignment, weaponized bureaucracy, and documented outcomes that change nothing.

The Legacy System
Beast / EffectATK 2100
Cannot be targeted by card effects. Once per turn: A random effect you control is negated.
"It still works. It just doesn't work the way it used to. Or should. Or... ever did."
The Works on My Machine
Quick-Play Spell
Negate an opponent's effect. On your next turn, that same effect resolves successfully for you. No explanation is required.
The Admin
Fiend / EffectATK 900 / DEF 3200
Cannot be destroyed while holding an unresolved ticket. Once per turn: Deny one access request without explanation.
"He's had that access since 2019. We don't know why."

The Game That Plays Like Work. Unfortunately.

Indifferencer, Inc.™ presents Meetings: The Blathering — a trading card game built from the raw material of enterprise dysfunction, documented in real time by people who have been there.

Reduce your opponent's Bandwidth to zero — or outlast them through strategic confusion, weaponized bureaucracy, and the occasional Marginal Gain Victory.

Every card came from a real wound. The flavor text is not satirical. It is testimony.

The Roster So Far

The Vendor Evangelist
Beast / EffectATK 2800 / DEF 2400
Gains one additional attack per turn for each buzzword spoken (max 3). Once per turn: Shuffle one Agile Ritual from your deck into your opponent's deck.
The PowerPoint Presentation
Resource / EffectATK 1200 / DEF 3000
Gains 1 Slide Counter each turn. Cannot be destroyed while it has counters. Opponent loses 100 Bandwidth per counter during standby phase.
The Principal Consultant
Beast / EffectATK 1400 / DEF 3100
Special Summon condition: PowerPoint Presentations must have 8+ Slide Counters. When summoned: Summon 2 additional copies. Each generates a 50-slide presentation. Slides 1–25 and 26–50 contain the same information formatted differently.
"I've taken the liberty of putting together a few thoughts."
The End User: Power User
Beast / End User / EffectATK 800 / DEF 800
Cannot be redirected by the card that built the system. Activates Unintended Use once per turn without reading the documentation. Gains 500 ATK when adjacent to one specific player. That player did nothing to earn this.
"He just prefers JSON. His team used it on a project once…."
The Red X (Silent Failure)
Trap Card
When an effect fails, do not explain why. Opponent must guess.
The Temporary Fix
Trap Card
Restore 500 Fragmented Bandwidth to usable Bandwidth. Then Fragment 700.
"That should hold."
The Business Analyst
Beast / EffectATK 2200 / DEF 1800
Once per turn: Identify the actual root cause of any problem on the field. When Principal Consultant is also on the field: Business Analyst's effects resolve first. Principal Consultant gets the draw.
The Out of Office Message
Spirit / EffectATK 0 / DEF 0
Cannot be targeted. Leaves the field at end of turn. While active: Opponent cannot interact with this card.
The Room Where It Happens (But Nothing Gets Done)
Field Spell
All players may activate one additional effect during Meeting Phase. If more than 3 effects resolve: Negate all of them.
The Platform Architect
Beast / EffectATK 2300 / DEF 2000
Once per turn: You may banish one Certification card from your graveyard; negate an opponent's effect unless they can provide verifiable documentation.
The LinkedIn Monetization
Beast / EffectATK 3000 / DEF 2500
When this card is summoned, draw one card for each LinkedInfluencer post with greater than 100 likes. Cannot be destroyed by cards that lack documented proof of concept.
The Legacy System Administrator
Beast / EffectATK 2100 / DEF 2500
Cannot be targeted by card effects. Once per turn: A random effect you control is negated.
"It still works. It just doesn't work the way it used to. Or should. Or... ever did."
The Agile Ritual
Spell Card
Special Summon one player without meeting its requirements. Place 2 Chaos Counters on it. Each turn, roll a die: on 1–2, the player behaves unpredictably.
The Scope Creep
Trap Card
When an opponent declares an attack: Double all players' ATK on the field. Then increase all summoning requirements for the rest of the duel.
The Middle Manager
Beast / EffectATK 1800 / DEF 2200
Counts as 3 tributes, but only fulfills 1 tribute requirement. Once per turn: Redirect an attack to another player you control.
The Calendar
Machine / EffectATK 2400 / DEF 2400
On summon: Both players skip their next Battle Phase. Once per turn: Delay a card effect until the next turn.
The Budget Approver
Fairy / EffectATK 1000 / DEF 2800
Negate effects of players with ATK > 2000 unless their controller pays 1000 Bandwidth.
The Burnout
Pyro / EffectATK 2600 / DEF 1000
Gains 300 ATK each turn it remains on the field. After 3 turns: Destroy this card and skip your next draw phase.
The Reply-All
Spell Card
When opponent activates a card: Copy its effect for every card in your hand. Then discard your entire hand.
The Meeting That Could Have Been an Email
Trap Card
Negate an opponent's action and end their turn. Both players discard 1 card.
The Overengineered Solution
Spell Card
Double one player's ATK. Flip a coin: If tails, destroy it.
The Executive Decision
Beast / EffectATK 3500 / DEF 3000
Once per duel: Override all effects on the field. Declare one outcome at random — it becomes reality.
The Works on My Machine
Quick-Play Spell
Negate an opponent's effect. On your next turn, that same effect resolves successfully for you. No explanation is required.
The Delegation Limit
Continuous Trap
Players may only interact with the top 500 cards of their deck. Remaining cards are non-delegable.
The CountRows()
Spell Card
Reveal top 5 cards of your deck and treat as total resources. Ignore remaining cards.
The Monitoring Tool
Spell Card
Look at top 3 cards of any deck. Reveal one.
The IfError()
Quick-Play Spell
Replace a failed effect with a weaker version.
The Hidden Limit Reached
Trap Card
Negate actions beyond unknown threshold.
The UI Suggests Otherwise
Continuous Spell
Visible game state may be incorrect. Verbal confirmation required.
The Delegator
Boss player / EffectATK 2400 / DEF 2800
Cannot be interacted with beyond top 500 cards of your deck.
The Legacy User
Beast / End User / EffectATK 2200 / DEF 2600
Once per turn: Randomly select one active Tool or System effect. Resolve it incorrectly. Then apply an additional unintended outcome. Each trigger: Lose 200 Bandwidth, then Fragment 300 Bandwidth.
"It still works. It just doesn't work the way it used to. Or should. Or... ever did."
The Bandwidth Leak
Continuous Trap
Lose 100 Bandwidth each turn. Effect cannot be explained.
The Low Bandwidth Mode
Continuous Spell
While your Bandwidth is below 2000: You may only activate one effect per turn.
The Can You See My Screen?
Quick-Play Spell
Reveal your Bandwidth to all players. Opponent may reinterpret it.
The Capacity Planning
Continuous Spell
At game start: Set your Displayed Bandwidth to any value you choose. Has no effect on your Actual Bandwidth.
The AI Tools
Warrior / EffectATK 3200 / DEF 1800
Cannot be targeted by Documentation Check effects. Once per turn: Select one corrupted file in the graveyard — it is now clean. No explanation is provided. When paired with The Knowledge Base: draw one card.
"No explanation is provided."
The Core Mechanics

How the System Fails You

The Bandwidth System
Replace Life Points with Bandwidth — your capacity to act, respond, and maintain operational coherence. Track both Displayed and Actual Bandwidth. They are never the same number. The game is managing the gap.
The Bandwidth Fragmentation
Fragmented Bandwidth still exists. Still counts toward your total. Cannot be used or referenced. It is, basically, allocated but unavailable. If Fragmentation exceeds 2000, all Tool Cards begin misfiring automatically.
The Meeting Phase
A new turn step before Battle Phase. Each player may activate one Discussion effect. If more than two activate, both players discard 1 card. Flavor ruling: "This meeting could have been avoided."
The Unintended Use
Cards with this keyword may be activated outside their intended parameters. Effects are unpredictable but cannot be negated by Documentation Check. The system wasn't built for this. It does it anyway.
